View from Warford: Road Trip Part 1

Our road trip to Massachusetts was a very nice get-a-way for us.

First stop Urbana IL to have dinner with niece Anna and to visit sculpture pieces around town which she helped obtain on loan for the city. Did manage to get a peek in the U of Illinois football stadium. Next stop Colombus OH to tour the capitol and sneek into Ohio State football stadium. Cleveland next to see friends Don & Judy Auble and tour the Rock n Roll Museum and Hall of Fame. Saratoga Springs NY was next. Famous horse race course, artist retreat, Yaddo, resort type town. Albany NY for walk thru of the capitol (looks like it belongs in France). Did get to see Senate debate. Through the Berkshires to Jeff & Cara's in Charlemont MA. Lots of sights and activites and we were introduced to many of J&C's friends. Pretty much as you would expect New England. 2 nights in Boston, great Italian dinner in North End district, Freedom Walk, JFK Library & Museum, Harvard, Boston College, ridng the subways.. Great hotel location on Beacon Hill. From Boston head to Bennington VT - Home of Moose displays, Robert Frost home & grave, Grandma Moses museum anmd Bennington Pottery. Finger Lakes region of NY next. Tiffany designed chapel and wine tasting highlight this stop. Niagara Falls with the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds providing our "water park" experience on the trip. Last stop Holland MI to visit brother Tom and his family.
